The Final Stand

The Final Stand

They saw the army coming, but they didn’t flinch. There wasn’t even the slightest shadow of fear in their hearts. They had no doubt that this would be their last battle, and they would end it well. Despite what the enemy thought, he would not win because a warrior who never flees, never loses. As the masses approached, the final three planted their feet, but it wasn’t until we were behind them did they turn to see our faces, the faces of their brothers. We had come just as the last trump sounded, and that was the first time I ever saw Erik smile.

Writer. College student. Focused. Blessed. Adventurer. Musician. Professional over thinker. I'm pretty busy with college, but sometimes I write. It clears my head and reminds me of the impact I want to have on the world, which is why I'll never stop.
