Light filters through the leaves, making shadows dance along the ground. Wind whistles through the trees, creating a melody only I can hear.
Petaled blooms paint the mountain side. Rivers carve a path in stone. Clouds chase sunlight across the sky. The quietness eases my every fear.
Long I had been journeying, until the path withered away. I pursued it hard in aimless turning, but I found myself in the depths of the woods.
Fear took hold on my spirit and bones as the night transformed into another day. I could not accept that I was utterly alone despite doing everything that I possibly could.
My calls were silenced by the wind. I could not remember from whence I came. Memories stolen and thoughts cast adrift. I searched the less and emptied my thoughts.
In the midst of solitude at last came peace. I returned to the creator the love He gave. Like a breath of fresh air and cool water to drink. In order to be found, perhaps I needed first to get lost.
